The aim of
our research is to provide a better understanding of the
fundamental interrelationships dark tourism and heritage have with
the cultural condition of contemporary
society.
Our research studies explore the social, cultural, political and ethical concepts of dark tourism, as well as the consequences of consuming dark tourism. The iDTR provides for an ethical and sensitive research community in which to study the commodification of death.
